  Large superstore with a good selection of everyday items, plus things like a print-off photo machine, in-store mobile phone shop, pharmacy, petrol station, car wash and Costa. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff.

  I am disgusted by the way my wife was treated by the manager of the Tesco, Helston store: On the morning of Tuesday 1st August we bought three bodyboards from the store at a cost of £10 each. Our children used the boards that day; two were OK but the fastener attaching the strap on the third board broke on first use! Naturally we (just my wife, unfortunately I was not with her) took the faulty bodyboard back to the Tesco Helston store later that afternoon. The lady on the customer service desk was very helpful but had to call the manager. He intimidated and bullied my wife into accepting a £5 voucher as a 'token of goodwill' saying that the bodyboard had been used and therefore could not be replaced! This item was clearly not fit for purpose, a fact that could only be determined by attempting to use it. I would have expected the manager of a retail store to be fully familiar with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and to not behave in a criminal manner in contravention of the act. He also retained the faulty board AND the receipt leaving us with no evidence and therefore no recourse.
